DoDah, unlike other companies, was designed from the ground up to solve the current content & delivery problems. In each of the following areas, DoDah resolves the associated problem and, in many cases, extends the solution in a new and innovative fashion.

Provide for single-click directory negotiation. DoDah provides a simple, intuitive interface for all users. With our Worldwide Talking Directory, most common searches are accommodated from the home page and only require a single click to provide detailed information regarding the businesses relevant to the search. Our PowerListing includes, business name, address, phone number, fax number, linked URLs for web site & email, business description, hours of operation, discounts offered, credit cards accepted and more.

 

Deliver streaming media. Businesses have the ability, via the TalkingListing, to provide searchers with an audible BLURB - a 30 second overview of their product/service offerings. A business owner can update/modify their BLURB any time (24 hours a day) by interaction with the DoDah IVR server, using a toll free 800 number. In addition, TalkingTargets (see Guarantee relevant, targeted advertising, below) provide the DoDah user with a 60-second audible overview of the business service/product advertised. Uniquely, this streaming media is delivered to the users computer without requiring a plug-in, or any other downloaded software component.

 

Make it product/service centric. DoDah has mapped over 27,000 possible business categories into less than 5,000 (which makes our Worldwide Talking Directory more user friendly). Moreover, our proprietary keyword search algorithms actually allow the searcher to fine tune their search without requiring any special knowledge. A search for direct mail fulfillment brochure printing returns only those directory entries that can provide the specific product / service. Where no exact match exists, potential matches are presented by ranked relevance.

 

Enable ANONYMOUS communication between the searcher and the target of the search, avoiding the potential for SPAM and facilitate an opt-in environment. Our proprietary BuzzBuzz product allows the searcher to instantly communicate with the target of their search, utilizing their email client. Unlike typical email however, the message recipient is unaware of the senders email address. While the recipient of the message is able to respond to the sender, the absence of an email address precludes its subsequent use either as part of a SPAM or as part of a culled email list. In addition, BuzzBuzz allows the sender to broadcast a message to a selected list or category of like businesses by city, by state or even by country. And, although the originator of the message has the option to opt-out, BuzzBuzz responses automatically create an opt-in relationship between the originator and the respondent. Keyed to the respondent, opt-ins can be used for subsequent marketing messages and remain active until, or unless, the originator opts out.

 

Significantly lower business costs. Directory entries comparable to the DoDah PowerListing, which is only $99, are currently sold by other directories for over $700 per county, per year and they contain less information. Our enhanced TalkingListing, which extends streaming media, enables direct anonymous contact, e-commerce and our unique TalkingPage sells for $599 per year worldwide.

 

Eliminate spelling accuracy as an issue. DoDah employs a proprietary phonic parser, which not only assigns phonic values to the letters of words as they are entered but develops them for common consonant combinations and diphthongs[1]. This means that the user who searches for computour prinntr will find the same results as the user who searches for computer printer.

 

Guarantee relevant, targeted advertising. DoDah gives business the ability to advertise their product/service to the marketplace using TalkingTargets. Unlike typical Internet banner ads, TalkingTargets:

  • Can only be displayed during a DoDah search.

  • Will only be displayed if the object of the search matches the product/service of the TalkingTarget.

  • Are stationary, i.e. they dont scroll off the screen, which guarantees a longer impression time.

  • Are bundled with a 60-second audible message, invoked whenever the mouse passes over the TalkingTarget.

  • Are limited - only 2 per category/city are allowed, with no rotation. This allows a business to lock-in their spot and lockout out their competition.

Raise the bar on information delivery and usefulness. In addition to the previously described facilities, businesses that implement TalkingListings are provided with a TalkingPage. The TalkingPage is a stand-alone, linkable URL and, coupled with the DoDah QuickE, allows the business to create an instant Internet presence (including graphics, animations, etc.) linked to their TalkingListing. The DoDah QuickE allows even a novice to create their web presence in minutes.

 

Instant branded name recognition. As an advertising company, we realize the significance of branding and name recognition.  For our name, we selected DoDah. DoDah is wonderfully short. Its first syllable is do, an action word directly connected to Brocas area[2]. DoDah is already part of the American consciousness, e.g. zippity dodah; and its been there for over 100 years (since Stephen Fosters Camptown Races). In fact, we use the tune (part of the public domain) in association with the name DoDah to further establish the associative links through Brocas area[2]
