At PanAm Wireless, we aim to apply the newest technologies to one of the oldest applications: communications. We seek use the height of our satellites to jump over old or non-existent telephone networks, and put the data in your town, in your home, anywhere.

Our first step in this journey will be to deploy a network of digital satellite stations throughout rural Brazil. These stations will connect to public use facilities like Internet Cafes and call centers, and via radio to private subscribers within 30 kilometers.

Local schools will be connected at deep discounts to facilitate the spread of this vital new communications tool. We will be providing both Internet and VoIP connectivity, allowing these students to reach out with their minds and voices across the Digital Divide.

Our Internet Café's will be packaged as turnkey systems, which will provide affordable access to fast, powerful computers connected to the American Internet backbone at speeds up to 2Mb per second. These systems will also provide for several public access pre-paid telephone systems. Users can talk to anywhere in the world at sharp discounts. By bypassing the local monopolistic telephone company for most call segments, PanAm Wireless allows for people in these remote areas to keep in touch with relatives and friends abroad.
